For most of my life, I have been a writer.  Creating worlds with words was my language, my voice. Then ten years ago, I took my first art class and I began to learn a new language – the language of color, line, composition. Over the years, I have experimented with different art forms – from watercolors to acrylics to printmaking. Then I discovered collage.

What intrigues me most about collage is the process. I work with random fragments – pieces that by themselves look used, ready to be discarded – and I get lost in those pieces, weaving them together, to create a whole. And in that whole – I find beauty.
